On Friday I went to see Mum and Dad, to see how Dad was recovering from his op. He looked quite perky but much more scarring than expected. Took over FOUR hours to get there.
After lunch I went over to the Racecourse and pitched the awning in a bit of a gale, just before the rain came in again. Despite the diet, I treated myself to a pizza up at Bella Italia. Chester was in full Bank Holiday swing.
I put the fairy lights up and they made a really nice atmosphere in the evening.
On Saturday, the weather brightened up, and I met up with some SMCF, and went to the Food and Drink Festival. I toured the festival stands, and bought 2 frying pans and a glass ornament but no food. Lovely veggie lunch though.
I decided to leave on Sunday morning, and called in at the Anderton Boat Lift on the way back - fascinating!
